SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Started five games for the Black Bears during his second season in the script… Finished the season with a 4.23 GAA, a .878 save percentage, and 180 total saves… Recorded a season high 37 saves at UNH (12/11) during Maine’s shoot-out victory.
FRESHMAN (2019-20): Appeared in one game for the Black Bears.
BEFORE MAINE: A goaltender from Altona, Manitoba, is a 2018 NHL draft pick by the Vancouver Canucks and was ranked fourth by Central Scouting among North American goaltenders and 119th overall by McKeen’s Hockey. Played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Thiessen played for the Steinbach Pistons during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
PERSONAL: A business management major... son of Carla and Darcy Thiessen... has one younger sister... go-to pregame meal is steak... loves to play the piano.
