Black Bears Open Series With Loss at Vermont

BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Maine men's basketball team fell on Saturday to open a weekend set at Vermont, as the Catamounts controlled action end-to-end in a 65-30 victory. 

Maine led briefly with 11 minutes remaining in the first half, but Vermont closed the half on a 24-4 run to effectively end this one at the half. 

The Black Bears will return to the fray tomorrow in Burlington, a 1:00 scheduled tip.
