ORONO, Maine - A total of seven former women's hockey players appear on NWHL rosters ahead of opening night.
With opening night set for January 23 in the Lake Placid bubble, seven former Black Bears find themselves on active rosters. Brooke Stacey, Alyson Matteau, and Carly Jackson will all suit up for the Buffalo Beauts.
Tereza Vanisova, the 12th overall pick, will make her professional debut with the Boston Pride. The all-time leader in points at the University of Maine and a member of the Czech Republic National Team will take her talents to Boston.
Cailey Hutchison returns to the Metropolitan Riveters for another year after tallying 11 total points in her first appearance with the franchise.
Audra Richards, playing her third professional season, will lace it up for the Minnesota Whitecaps once again. She will bring her 28 career points to Lake Placid with the Whitecaps.
Mariah Fujimagari will play her fifth professional season, second in the NWHL, for the Connecticut Whale. The former UMaine netminder played last season in Buffalo, where she snagged three wins.
NBC Sports and the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) have announced that the 2021 Isobel Cup Semifinals and Final will air live exclusively on NBCSN on February 4-5 from historic Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y.
