ORONO, Maine -- Offensive lineman Liam Dobson has been named to the 2020 Stats Perform Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Preseason All-America Second Team, as announced by the organization on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Dobson, a 2019 Third Team All-American selection, adds the All-American honor to his list of 2020 preseason accolades which previously included a selection to the HERO Sports Preseason All-American Third Team and a spot on Phil Steele's 2020 Preseason All-CAA First Team.

The 6-3, 340 pound senior, who earned a nod to Bruce Feldman's 2020 College Football Freaks list for his sheer athleticism, is a two-time All-CAA honoree after a selection to the league's first team following a stellar 2019 campaign. Dobson, who has started 26 consecutive games for the Black Bears, ranked as Maine's highest graded lineman for every game in 2019. He averaged 12 knockdowns per game, displaying high-caliber pass protection and impressive blocking in the run game.
