Q:  What is the status of the 2020 season?
A:  Citing concerns with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Colonial Athletic Association announced on Friday, July 17 that the 2020 football season has been suspended. In the interest of the health and safety of our student-athletes, staff, and fans, the Black Bears will not be playing football this fall.

Q:  I have already paid for my season tickets. Will I be refunded?
A:  Yes, refunds will be given in full. If you paid via credit card, the amount will be applied back to the same card you originally used. This will be an automatic process, so you will not need to contact the ticket office individually to claim a refund. If you paid via check, you will be receiving a call from the ticket office to discuss refund options (applying the amount to a credit card or receiving a check from the University). 
 
Q:  I had not paid for my season tickets yet.  Will I be able to keep my seats for next year?
A:  Yes. All season tickets and seat locations from the 2019 season will be available for renewal for the 2021 season. 
 
Q:  How can I contact the Ticket Office?
A:  The ticket office staff is working remotely at this time but still maintaining regular operating hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The temporary ticket office phone number is (207) 949-7126.  The ticket office staff may also be reached via email at um.tickets@maine.edu. 
 
Q: What if the season is moved to the spring?  Will I be able to purchase my seats then? 
A:  Conference and University officials continue to discuss and monitor contingencies for playing a spring season and all other options for competition. If it is determined that spring football competition will happen, then Maine Athletics will comply with all CDC and University guidelines as it relates to stadium capacities for fans. Depending on social distancing restrictions, the ticket office staff will attempt to place all returning season ticket holders into their seat locations. If the ticket office staff is unable to do so, because of social distancing guidelines, we will attempt to seat you as close as possible to your normal location. Season members may opt out of the potential spring season with no penalty. Choosing not to attend spring games will not impact the status of your renewable seats for 2021.
