Liam Dobson have each been recognized by HERO Sports as Preseason All-Americans, as announced by the organization on Thursday, May 28.
Stevens earned a spot on the HERO Sports Preseason All-American Second Team while Dobson was named to the HERO Sports Preseason All-American Third Team.
Stevens, who missed the majority of the 2019 season after suffering an Achilles tendon injury in the season opener, earn selections to the 2019 STATS FCS Preseason All-American Third Team and was also recognized to the preseason All-CAA team. During his last full season of competition in 2018, Stevens earn a spot on the All-CAA Second Team and was named a FCS HERO Sports Sophomore All-American after posting a team-high 120 tackles to go along with 17.0 tackles for loss and 9.0 sacks during Maine's 2018 Final Four run.
Dobson had a stellar showing on Maine's offensive line in 2019, earning a spot on the STATS FCS All-America Third Team along with an All-CAA First Team nod. Dobson, who has started 26 consecutive games for the Black Bears, was Maine's highest graded offensive lineman for every game in 2019. A year ago in his junior campaign, Dobson averaged an impressive 12 knockdowns a game.
