The Black Bears found themselves striking first early in the contest. Just 3:47 into action, Vendula Pribylova knocked in her fourth of the season to get her team on the board first. Ally Johnson (4) blocked a shot on defense and got the fast break started, where she then dished it over to Pribylova on the rush who capitalized for the Black Bears.

The Black Bears would keep the pressure on the Terriers in the second period as Ali Beltz scored her seventh goal of the season to bring the lead up to 2-0. Beltz showed off the stick coordination as she deflected the Taylor Leech (12) slap shot into the back of the net. Ida Kuoppala (13) picked up the secondary assist on the play.

Boston University would find an answer for the goal in the second period as Nara Elia netted her team's first of the game. Elia gathered the rebound off of the slap shot by Jesse Compher to score for her side. Abby Cook picked up the secondary assist for the Terriers.

The Terriers would continue their momentum into the third period as with 3:08 remaining in regulation Nara Elia scored her second of the game to tie the game up at 2-2. Emma Wuthrich and Abbey Stanley picked up the assists on the play.
