Full Game Notes
Maine hit the road to finally begin their 2020-21 season over the weekend after a 287-day gap between contests, diving right into America East conference play with a set of games against the Hartford Hawks at Chase Arena. Game one was quite a thrill, as the Black Bears erased a 15-point halftime deficit to lead in the final minutes, but a Hartford three with two-seconds remaining ultimately sank the Bears. Game two was a shooting struggle for Maine, allowing Hartford to cruise to a 65-50 victory.

A TEAM OF TWO HALVES
Maine has shown dramatic improvement shooting the ball after the halftime break in their so-far small sample size. A 30.6% mark from the field in the first half has risen to 51.0% in the second half across their two games.
INGO AIR CONTROL
Maine Redshirt sophomore and team co-captain Steph Ingo is rapidly developing into the best shot blocker Maine has had in quite some time. The Ontario-native started his 2020-21 campaign by matching a career-high with five blocks against Hartford, the second time he's hit that mark in his career. He's the first Black Bear with five blocks in a game since Mike Allison in 2012, he has at least one block in 27 of his 32 career games played, and has an active streak of 13 straight games with a block.
