ORONO, Maine - The university of Maine women's ice hockey team will travel to Providence, Rhode Island with their 3-1 record to take on the Providence College Friars on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

MAINE GAME NOTES
- After sweeping the Wildcats in New Hampshire, Maine will look to build on a 3-1 season record when they make the trip down I-95 to Rhode Island.
- The Black Bears were victors on Friday in Durham, taking down New Hampshire by a 2-1 final behind Loryn Porter's 21 save day.
- Game two seemed like groundhog's day with a 2-1 victory and 21 saves from Porter.
- Four different Black Bears scored on the weekend. Liga Miljone, Ida Press, Ali Beltz, and Ida Kuoppala all found the back of the net during their two victories during the most recent chapter of the border battle.
PROVIDENCE NOTES
- Entering today at 5-0-1 with three straight series wins to start the 2020-21 season, Providence sits atop the Hockey East standings. UConn, Boston College, and Holy Cross all fell victim to the Friars, while the Huskies are the lone team to earn a tie.
- Sara Hjalmarsson leads the offense with three goals so far, with Lauren DeBlois and Caroline Peterson each scoring two goals thus far.
- Sandra Abstreiter has played every minute in net for her squad, while recording a 1.32 GAA and .951 save percentage.
SERIES NOTES
- New Hampshire has a 22-11-4 lifetime record against Maine, although the Black Bears won last year's season series, 2-0-1; that includes a 2-1 win at the Schneider Arena last February.
