ORONO, Maine - The No. 24 ranked Maine Black Bears used a pair of
Brianna Ricker goals and a clutch
Mia Borley save to slip past Boston University on Friday afternoon, besting the visiting Terriers by a 2-1 final score.
Ricker tallied both her goals in the first half, first off a sweet feed from Hana Davis to put the Black Bears in the lead followed by an unassisted one-woman show of a goal to break a 1-1 tie in the second quarter. The Black Bears lead held all the way through the second half, as Mia Borley made three saves in the fourth quarter alone including a full extension blocker save with under three minutes to play to hold off the Boston attack and seal the 2-1 victory.
