BOSTON, Massachusetts - The Maine field hockey program fell in their final regular season game of the season on Sunday afternoon, falling by a 2-1 final to Virginia Commonwealth in neutral site competition.

- Nina Keur got the lone Black Bears' goal of the day late in the first quarter, an unassisted goal and her second of the season.
- Maine was outshot 7-5 and 4-2 on goal, as VCU also enjoyed a 4-2 advantage on corners.
- Mia Borley put up another nice performance in goal, making a pair of saves on the day.
- VCU's game-winner came with just 1:18 left in the game, a corner redirect shot for the win.
- Maine prepares for the opening game of the America East conference tournament, as they'll take on the winner of UAlbany and Stanford after those two teams meet on Thursday. Maine's first game will be on Friday at 1:30 PM at Monmouth University.
