ORONO, Maine—The Black Bears women's cross country team was defeated University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Friday by a combined team score of 15-46.

The women were led by senior
Haley Lawrence in the dual meet, posting a sixth place finish and finishing time of 19:59 to lead the Black Bears. Following behind her was sophomore
Emma Jourdain in seventh with an overall time of 20:03.

Hope Gardner 20th (21:30) were all top-20 finishers for the Black Bears.

The Wildcats nabbed the five top spots, with Madeleine Burgess taking first with a total time of 19:31.

The Black Bears return to action again at the New England Regionals in Boston, hosted by Boston University, on Sat. October 6.
