Football Announces 2018 Broadcast Schedule

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine Athletics and its multimedia rights partner, Black Bear Sports Properties, are excited to announce a three-game football television broadcast schedule for the 2018-19 season. These select games will air live on WVII/WFVX (Bangor) and WPME (Portland) as well as nationally on Fox College Sports.

Additionally, the Black Bears will be featured on five other networks throughout the season, including two games as part of the Colonial Athletic Association's (CAA) CBS Sports Digital (CBSi) and Fox Sports Go packages. In all, eight of Maine's 11 games are currently scheduled to air on a linear and/or digital network.

The local, linear broadcasts will feature UMaine's final three home games of the regular season, beginning on Oct. 6 when the Black Bears host Colonial Athletic Association rival Villanova at 3:30 p.m. Homecoming weekend follows when UMaine and UAlbany meet in CAA action on Oct. 27 at 1:00 p.m. for a live television broadcast. The three-game televised series wraps up on Nov. 17 when the Black Bears close the conference schedule against Elon in the regular season finale.

"It was a very proud moment for me bringing the Black Bears back to local television and I am pleased to have a long term relationship not only with the University but Learfield, the best in the business."
