Orono, Maine – University of Maine head football coach Joe Harasymiak has announced the addition of two coaches to his staff as well as an internal promotion.

Andrew Dresner has joined the Maine football staff as a wide receivers coach while Dean Petzing has been added as a tight ends coach. Internally, Jared Keyte has been promoted to special teams coordinator.

"We are excited about the additions of Andrew and Dean to program," says Harasymiak. "They bring a wealth of experience to our program that will benefit us immediately. With Nick Charlton's move to offensive coordinator, we are thrilled to have Keyte fill the void as special teams coordinator. Jared is a dedicated coach that will provide energy to that unit."

Dresner comes to UMaine with eight years of collegiate coaching experience, most recently serving a season as the offensive coordinator at Pace University. Prior to Pace, Dresner spent four seasons on staff at Merrimack College. While at Merrimack, Dresner served as quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator before being promoted to pass game and recruiting coordinator for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Early in his career, Dresner spent a year at Worcester Polytechnic Institute as the quarterbacks coach after starting his career with two seasons on staff at his alma mater, Union College.

Petzing joins the Black Bears' staff after two seasons at Ball State. Petzing began his time at Ball State as the assistant wide receivers coach before most recently serving as an assistant offensive line coach for the 2017 campaign.

A graduated of St. Lawrence University, Petzing has familiarity with the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) after spending a year as tight ends coach at Villanova. Petzing started his career with a year on the defensive staff at Yale after two seasons as a student-assistant with St. Lawrence.

Keyte, who begins his third year on staff with the Black Bears, spent his first two seasons working with the linebackers. Prior to coming to Maine, Keyte was a defensive quality control coach at Rutgers after two seasons on the defensive staff at Springfield College and a year stint coaching quarterbacks at Utica College.
