BOSTON – Freshman forward Julia Mahoney was selected as an America East All-Rookie team honoree. Additionally, junior Nicole Bailey earned a spot on the America East All-Academic Team for her work in the classroom.
 
Mahoney led the Black Bears in points (12) with four goals and four assists. Her assists tied for the time lead, while her goals were the second most. The freshman tallied a career and season high five points (two goals and one assist) in Maine's victory at Bryant on September 2^nd.
 
Bailey (Bioengineering, 3.95) earned her second-straight America East All-Academic Team nod. Bailey finished the year with 11 total points, which was good enough for second on the team. Her five goals led the team. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must carry at-least a 3.5 GPA and play in 50 percent of the team's games.
