ALBANY, N.Y. – A goal in the 57
th minute proved to be difference, as the No. 16 University of Maine field hockey team dropped a contest for the first time in October, falling to the No. 22 UAlbany Great Danes 1-0 on Friday afternoon at Alumni Turf Field.
Albany's Cosima Rocktaeschel broke the scoreless tie off a penalty corner to lift the Great Danes to the victory.
Melissa Nealon registered three saves in net for the shutout for Albany.
Lydia Gavner made five saves in her first collegiate action in the cage for Maine.
