No. 24 Maine Faces Tough Test in Cornell on Sunday

The Black Bears look to win their fifth straight contest in a neutral site game at UVM.

Orono, Maine – After two wins against Richmond last weekend, the University of Maine field hockey team looks to extend its winning streak to five against tough completion in Cornell on Sunday afternoon. The neutral-site contest will be played at Moulton Winder Field on the campus of the University of Vermont.

The Big Red Connection
  • Head Coach Josette Babineau spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Cornell from 2004-07 under current Cornell head coach Donna Hornibrook. Hornibrook also coached Babineau at the University of New Brunswick in the 1990s. Babineau was named most valuable player of the Atlantic Field Hockey conference from 1990–93 and led her New Brunswick team to the Silver Medal at the Canadian National Championships in back-to-back seasons.
