WORCESTER, Mass. --
Emily Borger set a new school-record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.34 to highlight Maine's day three of the America East Swimming Championships.
After three days of competition, Maine remains in fourth place with 266 points.
Following Borger, who finished ninth with her school-record time in the 100-back, was
Emma Blair in 11th at 57.98.
Rita Chen placed 18th in the event at 1:00.04 while
Lilli Wiseman touched the wall in 21st with a time of 1:00.46.
Victoria Kingston had the top finish of the day for Maine, placing sixth in the 100-yard fly at 56.64.
Emma Pontius (13th-57.93) and
Kate Pontius (15th-58.77) competed in the 'B' final of the 100-yard fly.
Shayla-Rose Kleisinger had another strong showing in the distance event, placing ninth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:31.98. Hannah Deschene came in 14th in the 400-yard IM at 4:39.84 while Beatrix Lavigue competed in the 'C' final, finishing 20th at 4:47.69. Lavigue was followed closely by Anna McCurdy, who placed 21st at 4:47.69.
Megan McGillivray touched the wall ninth in the 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 1:54.33. Also competing in the finals of the 200-yard free was
Alison Brodt (14th-1:55.90), Megahn O'Neill (16th-1:57.89),
Chloe Adams (22nd-1:57.99) and Alex Bromley (24th-1:59.01).
Sabrina Nuttall was Maine's top finisher in the 100-yard breaststroke, placing 10th at 1:05.10. Following Nuttall was Cece McEachern in 11th at 1:06.45.
Emma Blackdeer finished 13th in the event at 1:07.25.
The Black Bears' 400-yard medley relay team of McGillivray, Nuttall, Kingston and
Juliana McDonald finished fourth at 3:51.83.
Maine closes out America East Championship competition on Sunday beginning with preliminary action at 10 a.m.
