Brandon Briggs has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday morning.
Briggs converted on all three of his field goal attempts in Saturday's 23-6 win over William & Mary. Briggs was good from 19-yards, 23-yards and 43-yards. His 43-yard make was the longest hit of his career, and Maine's longest converted field goal since 2015 (43-yards).
On kickoff, Briggs notched four touchbacks on the day and has now recorded eight touchbacks in his last three games.
Briggs has converted seven straight field goal attempts and is 7-for-8 on the season. The junior from Saco, Maine currently leads the CAA in field goal percentage (87.5).
