Durham, New Hampshire- The Women's Ice Hockey team lost game one of a two game series, with the University of New Hampshire, on Friday night.
After a scoreless first period, Jonna Curtis scored a goal for the Wildcats at 1:15 into the second. Her teammate Marie-Jo Pelletier quickly added another one at the 2:51 mark. The period ended with a 2-0 UNH lead.
New Hampshire's Amy Schlagel started third period scoring when she added another goal to the Wildcat lead, at 11:56 into the period. Maine's Freshman forward,
Kara Washer, put the Black Bears on the scoreboard at 15:17. The goal was unassisted. The Wildcats finished off scoring with an empty net goal by Devan Taylor. The game ended in a 4-1 UNH victory.

Carly Jackson made 33 saves for Maine, as Hilary Cashin made 21 saves for New Hampshire.
The two teams will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, in Durham, New Hampshire. Puck drop is at 4pm.
