STORYLINES:
- Maine (2-3, 1-1 CAA) looks for its third-straight win when it hosts UAlbany (4-1, 1-1 CAA) on homecoming weekend.
- The Black Bears enter action riding a two-game win streak after a thrilling 28-21 victory at Delaware last weekend. Austin Brown's 62-yard fumble return for a score with 56-seconds left lifted Maine past Delaware. A victory over UAlbany would give Maine its first three-game win streak since 2014.
- This will be the 10th meeting between Maine and UAlbany, with the Great Danes holding a slim 5-4 advantage in the all-time series. The teams have split each of the last five meetings with Maine winning the most recent contest, 39-7, a year ago. The visiting team has won the last six match-ups. Last year, Maine held UAlbany to just six first downs and only 5-yards of rushing.
- UAlbany began the year 4-0, including its first-ever win over an FBS school, when it traveled to knock off Buffalo, 22-16.
- Maine enters third in the league at 215.0 passing yards per game and will look to take advantage of the Great Danes' 11th ranked pass defense (239.8).
- Maine and UAlbany are tied for 10th in the league, each allowing 410.8 yards per game. However, UAlbany has kept teams off the scoreboard, ranking second in points allowed (19.2) thanks to its NCAA leading 2.80 turnover margin, including a +14 rating with 11 inteceptions.
