Biography

HEADING INTO 2010: Coming off an injury that ended his season after one game... will see time out of the bullpen, possibly as Maine's closer.

 

2009: Was hurt in the first game that he pitched in.

 

2008: Saw action in 12 games for Maine, making one start... was 1-1 on the season with a 4.37 ERA... led the team in saves with two... earned saves against Hartford (5/5) and Vermont (5/11)... pitched a season-high three innings in games against Delaware State (2/25), Albany (4/12) and Vermont (5/11)... picked up first career win in Maine's 11-7 victory over UMBC (4/19) where he went 2.2 innings, allowed just one hit while striking out a pair of batters... fanned a career-high three batters on five different occasions... had best performance of the season against Hartford (5/5) where he entered the game with the bases loaded and nobody out in the ninth inning and struck out the side in order.

 

BEFORE MAINE: Played for coach Jeff Fahey at Bangor High School... led team to 2006 state championship... as a senior went 9-0 and led the KVAC conference in strikeouts... born April 20, 1988... son of Suzanne and James Cox... undecided upon major.
