BEFORE MAINE: Caught and played third and the outfield at Southington High School, batted .366 with 34 RBI and four home runs as a captain her senior season ... A four-year varsity starter, was named all-state in 2013 .. During her senior year, was named first team all-state by both the Hartford Courant and the New Haven Register ... Was first team All-Herald in both 2013 and 2012 ... Following her junior year, was named second team all-state by the Hartford Courant and to the New Haven Register third team all-state team ... Named all-conference CCC west both her junior and senior seasons ... In her senior year, helped lead Southington to a state championship a year after the team was the class LL runners up and semi-finalist in 2010 ...
