HEADING INTO 2012: One of the top pitchers in the conference... has several outstanding pitches in his repertoire... will serve as a captain for the Black Bears. 

2011: Named to the America East Second Team... started 14 games for the Black Bears... finished 2011 with a record of 8-5 and a 3.42 ERA... struck out 69 batters in 76.1 innings pitched... threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball against Penn (3/5), striking out six... gave up only one run on four hits in seven innings and recorded three strikeouts at Hartford (4/16)... pitched a second consecutive one run game against Albany (4/24) after giving up two hits and striking out six batters... struck out a career high 10 against Albany (5/7), surrendering up only three hits and three runs... pitched another game of shutout ball after throwing eight innings, giving up only two hits and striking out five batters at Hartford (5/14)... picked up a win in the NCAA Regional against 20th-ranked Florida International University... pitched eight innings and allowed just one run on two hits while striking out eight. 

2010: Had a stellar rookie campaign for the Black Bears... Named to the America East Second Team... named to the America East All-Rookie team... finished 5-4 on the season with a 3.94 ERA... started all 14 games that he appeared in... led the team in strikeouts with 72 in a team-high 75.1 innings pitched... had a pair of complete games on the season... picked up a win over 11th ranked North Carolina (2/27)... went 5.1 innings and struck out seven Tar Heels... struck out a season-high nine batters at Oregon State (3/20).

BEFORE MAINE: Played baseball at Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute... won the Ontario High School Provincial Championship... selected to the Ontario Youth team, where he won a National Championship in 2008... also played football in high school... born April 23, 1991... son of John and Judy Gibbs... a business major.
