BEFORE MAINE: Gifford didn't have to travel far to join the Black Bears in the 2023/24 season ... He is from Old Town and is making the next step to college baseball in his backyard ... Gabe took Old Town to a Class B Maine State Championship in the 2023 season, throwing three shutouts in the playoffs along the way ... He was a two-year varsity member at Old Town ... Had a career record of 14-1, and had a career ERA of 0.90, with 261 strikeouts in 124 innings pitched.
