Jordan Hersom joined the Black Bears in 2026 after spending the past 10 years as an educator all across the State of Maine. From 2020-26 he was a Health, Wellness and Exercise Physiology Teacher at Gardiner Area High School. While teaching at Gardiner, he served as an Assistant Coach for the High School Football program, a role he spent parts of six years with, along with serving as the Assistant Basketball Coach for eight years at the school and Assistant Track Coach for five years. In 2022, he was the Running Backs Coach at Bates College.
Hersom got his Bachelors in Physical Health Education for Husson University in 2016, where he spent two years as a defensive back on the football program. He was a member of SAAC, a Student Mentor for Athletes, a CoSIDA Academic All-District Award Recipient and was a multi-time member of the President's List. He earned his Masters Degree in Athletic Administration in 2020 from Endicott College.
Prior to his time at Husson, he spent two years as a defensive back for Springfield College, where he was on the Dean's List and lettered.
