Biography

JUNIOR (2014): Played in 15 games while starting in seven for the Black Bears...Finished the season with four points which included two goals...Her first goal came against Vermont on Oct. 3 in a 5-1 win...The second goal was in a 3-2 overtime loss against UNH...Honored as Maine Scholar-Athlete for a second time in her career...Named 2014 America East Academic Honor Roll...Member of the 2014 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA D-1 National Academic Team Award

SOPHOMORE (2013): Played and started in all 20 games for Maine in her sophomore season … Finished the season ranked fifth on the team in points with a career-high 19 points (six goals and seven assists) … Shaw began the year hot with a three-match goal scoring streak beginning on Sept. 3 against Boston College and scoring against Hofstra and Quinnipiac in consecutive games … Her highest point total came in the form of assists on Oct. 19 as she tallied three helpers against the Fairfield … Scored two goals in a 6-0 victory over Ivy League foe, Brown on Sept. 15 … Tallied an assist in a 2-1 loss to California on Oct. 27 … Registered one goal and one assist in an 9-1 rout against Vermont on Nov. 2.

FRESHMAN (2012): Started in 10 of the 18 games she appeared in as a freshman ... Made her first career start against Boston College (08/25) ... Named to the NFHCA academic squad as well as the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

BEFORE MAINE: Helped guide Nokomis High School to a State Championship in 2010 after winning the Eastern Maine Championship in both 2010 and 2008 and earning Eastern Maine runner-up status in 2009 and 2011 ... A Miss Maine Field Hockey Nominee in 2011, was named All-State and MVP in both 2011 and 2010 after earning the Warrior award in 2009 and the Rookie award in 2008.

PERSONAL: Born June 14, 1994 ... Daughter of Missy and Jim ... a kinesiology/physical education - exercise science major ... Also competed in basketball and track and field in high school ... Was named the Class 'B' Player of the Year in basketball in 2012 and was the State Champion in Javelin in 2011 and 2012 ... Has one sister, Taylor.
