IN 2022: Appearing in 40 games, while earning her name on the lineup card 35 times… Finished the year with 18 hits, nine RBI, and five runs scored… Recorded three hits in three games (2/19, 3/26, 3/30)... Drove in two runs on two separate occasions (2/19 & 3/26)... Had a season high three-game hit streak two times throughout the season.
IN 2021: Mariah started in all but 2 of the 27 games she appeared in. She hit for .179 in 67 at bats and drove in 8 runs. Pearson was third on the team in both doubles(4), and home runs(2).
BEFORE MAINE: Pearson, who was named a captain before her senior year, was part of three deep playoff runs which included two elite eight and one final four appearance in the state of North Carolina. At the end of her four years at Mooresville, Mariah had tallied over 100 hits, 100 runs scored, and 100 RBI. As was the case with most of her high school career, Pearson’s senior year was a success at the plate. The North Carolina native recorded a .402 batting average over 31 games with 35 hits, 31 RBI, and 35 runs scored. The Blue Devils of Mooresville High School also went 27-5 during Mariah’s final season on the diamond.
