IN 2018: Appeared in 15 games, making a team-high nine starts while also leading the team in wins (5), innings pitched (65.1), and strikeouts (57)...threw a no-hitter against UMass Lowell on April 21, striking out season-high 12 in the 1-0 loss...named to America East Second Team.

IN 2017: Appeared in 11 games for Maine as a junior, starting four of them while going 2-1 in three decisions...finished with a 12.13 ERA in 23.0 innings pitched...had a season-high six strikeouts at Boston College on 5.27.

IN 2016: Saw action in 15 games, starting 11 for the Black Bears… finished with a 3.94 ERA… pitched 75.1 innings, striking out 77 batters… had a career high 11 strike outs against UMBC, in a Maine victory, in the America East Tournament (5/25).

IN 2015: Saw action in three games for the Black Bears... Did not record a decision... Finished with a 7.20 ERA in five innings pitched... struck out eight batters. 

BEFORE MAINE: Played for coach Corey Carlson at Northwest Catholic… finished his high school career 21-8 with a 2.42 ERA… struck out 90 batters in 52 innings…. two-time all-conference selection…. played in junior and senior all-star game…. played AAU baseball for the Connecticut Selects… also played hockey in high school… son of Stephen and Laurie Arel… plans to major in business.
