IN 2015: Had an impressive first year with the Black Bears... finished second on the team with a .316 batting average... scored 24 runs and drove in a team-high 38... finish third on the team with 12 doubles... had hits in three of his first four games for the Black Bears... went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Maine's game against Stony Brook (4/3)... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete *Rising Star* and named to the America East Academic Honor Roll. 

BEFORE MAINE: Comes to the Black Bears after serving as a captain at Parkland College last season… hit .365 with three home runs and 15 doubles… Prior to Parkland, played at Northern Illinois University, which won the MAC West during his time there…. Two-time Player of the Year at Rock Falls High School… Also played basketball and golf in high school… son of Shelley and Donnie Chappell… plans to major in kinesiology.
