BEFORE MAINE: Caught and played first and second base at McLean high school, captained the squad her senior year while being named first team all-district at catcher, second team all-region, honorable mention all-metro area and team MVP after her senior year ... As a junior, was named first team all-district and all-region at league while earning honorable mention all-metro area and honorable mention all-state ... In 2010, won the AAA Virginia high school league state championship before taking home the Liberty District championship in 2011 while also competing in the northern region and state tournament ... In 2012, led her travel team, the Ashburn Shooting State, competed in ASA Nationals.
