PREVIEW: Women's soccer hosts Army Black Knights on Thursday

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the New Balance Soccer Complex.
ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team will host Army in the final non-conference home game of the season on Thursday, Sept. 3 at the New Balance Soccer Complex.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with the game streaming live on ESPN+.
The first 100 fans at the game will receive Maine Women's Soccer Three-Peat Championship scarves. Additionally, students will receive free pizza while supplies last as part of OHOP Student Appreciation Night.

ABOUT MAINE
• Maine enters Thursday night's contest at 1-3-1 after falling to Merrimack at home and battling Colgate to a tie on the road last week.
• Audrey Palmer, Sandrine Brault and Isabella Meadows have all scored their first collegiate goals this season while Luise Reinwald has a team-leading two on the year.
• Reinwald has a team-high 11 shots and five shots on goal.
• Abbey Thornton leads Maine with two assists.

• Sophomore Stella Jarvais is the second in her family to play soccer for head coach Scott Atherley … her mom Nikki played four seasons at Maine (1996-2000) and captained the squad as a senior … Stella's father, Kregg, was a member of the baseball team.
• Freshman Ashley Kraemer is the third member of her family to play at Maine, joining older sisters Kayla (2020-24) and Abby (2021-24) … they have a fourth sister, Caitlin, who plays ice hockey at Minnesota Duluth.
• Junior Olivia Grisdale is the second in her family to play soccer at Maine … older sister Rebecca played three seasons at Maine, including two with Olivia, and was a captain on the 2025 squad.
• Teagan Atherley is the daughter of head coach Scott Atherley, who was a four-year letterwinner on the men's soccer team at Maine (1984-88).

• The Black Knights bring a 2-4-0 mark into Thursday night's contest after narrowly falling to #7 West Virginia, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.
• The Black Knights have played a tough non-conference slate, falling to Air Force, Colorado, Monmouth and West Virginia while picking up wins over William & Mary and Vermont.
• Kamryn McWhinney leads the team with three goals on the year … five other Black Knights have found the back of the net.
• Karalyn Dail has played every minute in goal for Army, making 29 saves with a .630 save percentage.
