Cambridge, Massachusetts – The University of Maine track and field program competed in the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT on Friday April 17
th and Saturday April 18
th.
Results:
In the 1500m,
Eli Palmer finished 9
th overall with a time of 3:53.96, Dan Knight finished 12
th overall with a time of 3:54.58, and
Matt Firlings finished 15
th overall with a time of 3:55.44.
Owen Transue was the only Maine athlete to compete in the 5000m, finishing 11
th overall with a time of 14:59.15.
In the 10000m,
Adam Bendetson finished 2
nd overall with a time of 30:16.78,
Connor Daigle finished 4
th overall with a time of 30:27.63, and
Harry Grenier rounded out Maine's top three with a 6
th place overall finish with a time of 30:49.02.
In the 3000m Steeple,
Jack Burns finished 2
nd overall with a time of 9:26.82 and
Kyle McClellan finished 4
th overall with a time of 9:37.83.
The Black Bears are back in action starting on Thursday April 23rd as they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Relays.
