Amherst, MA -- The University of Maine Track and Field program competed in the Commonwealth Invite hosted by University of Massachusetts Amherst on Saturday April 11.
In the 100m,
Catherine Primavera finished 18th overall with a time of 12.67,
Maddie Chaput finished 19th overall with a time of 12.69 and
Bayleigh Shanahan finished 22nd overall with a time of 12.74.
In the 200m,
Catherine Primavera finished 32nd overall with a time of 26.95,
Cassidy Novicka finished 34th overall with a time of 26.97, and
Maddie Cyr finished 39th overall with a time of 27.36.
In the 400m,
Cassidy Novicka finished 23rd overall with a time of 1:02.09 and
Bri Harriman finished 27th overall with a time of 1:04.36.
In the 100m Hurdles,
Makenna Drouin finished 18th overall with a time of 15.49 and
Athena Cusson finished 31st overall with a time of 18.26.

Athena Cusson finished 7th overall with a distance of 5.43m (17' 9.75"), and Saphryn Humason finished 11th overall with a distance of 5.29m (17' 4.25").
In the Discus event,
Riley Gavigan finished 20th overall with a distance of 34.49m (113' 2") and
Sabine Sites finished 22nd overall with a distance of 33.82m (110' 11").
In the Hammer Throw,
Ava Zollars finished 9th overall with a distance of 45.46m (149' 2"),
Sabine Sites finished 14th overall with a distance of 42.58m (139' 8") and
Riley Gavigan finished 28th overall with a distance of 34.08m (111' 10").
In the Javelin event,
Athena Cusson finished 7th overall with a distance of 32.05m (105' 2") and
Ava Zollars finished 14th overall with a distance of 26.66m (87' 6").
The Black Bears return to action starting Friday April 17th as they take on the Sean Collier Invitational and the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational.
