After Day 1 of the  America East Championships, the Maine women's track and field team is tied for fifth place with 17 points.

Veselja Treacy won the American East Championship in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:14.14. Freshman Lila Garbett also earned a medal,  finishing third with a time of 10:45.77.

Day 2 begins Sunday, May 10.
