Maine softball unveils 2026 schedule

Maine will host the 2026 America East Tournament at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex

ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team unveiled the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season today.
 
All dates and times are subject to change, with the most up-to-date information listed on GoBlackBears.com/SBSchedule.
 
The 48th season of Maine softball features a total of 52 regular season games - including 21 conference matchups - and culminates with the Black Bears hosting the 2026 America East Tournament at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.
 
Maine will open the season at the Heart of Georgia Classic on Feb. 6. The Black Bears will face Evansville (Feb. 6) North Carolina A&T (Feb. 6-7) and host-school Mercer (Feb. 7) before closing out the weekend against Evansville (Feb. 8).

The Black Bears will travel to Florida for the Hatter Classic (Feb. 13-15), hosted by Stetson. Maine will play North Dakota State University twice (Feb. 13-14) and Stetson three times (Feb. 13-14-15). It's then on to Virginia Feb. 20-22 for games against Stony Brook, Norfolk State, Saint Francis and Hampton University. Maine wraps up tournament-style play with the Idaho State Tournament (March 6-8), facing Southern Utah and Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho.
 
Maine will play a doubleheader at Merrimack on March 11 and then head to New Jersey to face Saint Peter's (March 17) and Monmouth (March 18) and then pop over to New York to play Iona (March 19).
 
America East play begins with a three-game series at UMass Lowell (March 21-22) followed by a non-conference doubleheader at Stonehill (March 25). The Black Bears will host Binghamton in the home-opening weekend March 28 and 29. After two games at Fairfield (April 2), the Black Bears will head to Maryland for a conference series at UMBC (April 4-5). Maine will host UMass Lowell in America East action (April 11-12) followed by a single game against nearby Husson (April 15). After two conference road series at Binghamton (April 18-19) and Bryant (April 25-26), the Black Bears wrap up the regular season at home against UAlbany (May 1-2).
 
The 2026 America East Tournament at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex will begin on May 6 and conclude on May 8. The Black Bears last hosted the championship in 2024.
