ORONO, Maine -- The CAA conference announced on Monday morning that
Carter Peevy of the University of Maine football program was named the conferences Co-Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against N.C. A&T.
Peevy, a graduate student out of Lawrenceville, Ga., turned in his best performance of the season as he threw for 298 yards on 20-for-27, including a streak of 12-for-12 to start the game. His 298 passing yards turned into two touchdowns, highlighted by a 81-yard score to
Nick Laughlin, the longest touchdown of the season for Maine. He also added a score on the ground as he had a 2-yard rushing touchdown, his third rushing score of the season.
Maine continues CAA play next time out as they travel to Bryant on Saturday, Oct. 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 PM.
