ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's cross country team opened the 2025 season with an 18-40 victory over Army at Saxl Park on Friday morning.
The Black Bears flipped the score from the previous year in an impressive turnaround of last year's result.
Megan Randall took the individual title, winning the event by over 18-seconds with a time of 17:59.56.
The Black Bears captured the top four finishes with
Veselja Treacy (18:18.98),
Evelyn Wool (18:26.04), and
Kennedy Taylor (18:29.10) taking second, third and fourth, respectively.
Ruby Krasnow (18:44.52) and
Ryan O'Connor (18:46.12) rounded out Maine's six top-10 finishers, taking eighth and ninth, respectively.Â
Maine returns to action on Sept. 20 when it competes in the Maine State Meet in Brunswick, Maine.
