ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team fell to Bryant in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.
 
The Black Bears will now ready for the 2025 America East Softball Championship, set for May 7-10 at Binghamton University.

How it Happened

• Maine and Bryant were both scoreless through two frames and both teams left three runners on base, with the Black Bears stranding two in the first and one in the second.
• The Bulldogs then plated four runs in the top of the third and followed it up with a six-run fourth.
• The Black Bears got the leadoff batter on in the bottom of the fifth but couldn't cross the plate.

Game Notes

• Alysen Rieth started in the circle while Ava Zettlemoyer and Emma DeBoer pitched in relief.
• Abby Rhee, Kyli Hernandez and Morgan Pool all reached base for the Black Bears.
