ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team fell to UMass Lowell on Sunday afternoon in a single game of America East action at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.

The two teams will close out the series tomorrow, Monday, April 28 with a 4 p.m. doubleheader.

How it Happened
- The teams were both scoreless through two frames … Kyrah Haba-Dailey tripled for Maine in the second but got stranded on third base.
- In the top of the third, the River Hawks took a 1-0 lead on a bases loaded walk and then stranded two Black Bears in the bottom half of the frame.
- UMass Lowell made it 2-0 in the fourth before putting up seven runs in the fifth inning for the eventual run-rule victory.
