Lewisburg, PA – The University of Maine baseball team fell in the series finale at Bucknell on Sunday afternoon.
Black Bears Scoring Breakdown:
Myles Sargent got Maine on the board in the second inning as he hit a sac fly to right field, scoring
Dean O'Neill (1B).
Zach Martin (BB) came into score later in the frame on a wild pitch.
Maine capped off the three-run inning with
Will Burns (BB) scoring on a wild pitch.
Maine put up another crooked number in the third inning as five runs scored in the frame, starting off with
Brody Rasmussen (E6) scoring on a wild pitch.
Two runs scored on back-to-back pitches via a bases loaded walk and hit-by-pitch to bring home O'Neill (1B) and Martin (1B) before a fielder's choice scored
Payton Whitehead (HBP) and an E5 scored Burns (BB).
Myles Sargent brought home the ninth and final run of the day for Maine on an RBI single to right field, scoring Whitehead (BB).
Black Bear Pitchers:
Luc Lavigueur got the start on the mound, but he only lasted 1 inning as he allowed 7 runs (4 earned) on 2 hits, 4 walks, 2 hit batters and 1 strikeout.
