SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The University of Maine softball dropped an America East contest to Bryant on Sunday afternoon at Conaty Park.

How it Happened
- The Black Bears went up 2-0 in the top of the first … Gabby Papushka led off the game with a double and then came around to score on a Keira Inman sacrifice fly … Kyrah Haba-Dailey then scored on a wild pitch.
- The Bulldogs, though, took a 3-2 lead in the home half of the first and then tacked on eight runs in the bottom of the second inning for an 11-2 lead after two.
- Bryant then closed the game out with two runs in the third before two shutout innings for the run rule victory.
- Madison Simmerman started, throwing 1.0 innings while Kaly Thomas, Alysen Rieth and Ava Zettlemoyer all threw in relief.
- Gabby Papushka went 2-for-3 with a double and scored one run.
- Francesca Guerrera was 2-for-3.
- Kyrah Haba-Dailey scored one run while Keira Inman recorded one RBI.
