ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine swimming & diving team is excited to announce a spring session of the Black Bear Swim School. The four-week spring sessions for swim instruction will begin the week of March 25, 2025 at Wallace Pool. Registration is open

The Black Bear Swim School is a four-week program and will be offered on the following days this spring:
The classes will be held two times per week, for a total of eight classes. The cost for the eight class session is $160. Those interested in participating will select to sign-up for either the Monday and Wednesday classes or the Tuesday and Thursday classes. Partial, one-day sign-ups are not available.

Payment must be included with your registration in order to ensure a spot in the program. Preference in scheduling will be given in order of the date registration is received.
Classes will feature 1-3 participants per instructor. Instructors will be members of the UMaine men's and women's swimming & diving teams.
Ages will be from age 3 (must be potty trained) through the 8th grade and an additional clinic offering for high school aged youth. Levels taught will include complete beginner through advanced. Parents should carefully evaluate the readiness of very young children. There are no floats, life vests, or assisted swim devices during these lessons.
