MADISON, Wisconsin - The Maine Black Bears were blanked by the #1 Wisconsin Badgers on Friday night at LaBahn Arena by a score of 5-0.
After a scoreless first frame, the #1 Badgers were able to score twice in the second period to take the lead. Wisconsin scored three more in the final period for a total of five.
Goaltender Kiia Lahtinen made 46 saves for Maine, as the Badgers outshot the Black Bears 51 to 25. Mikayla Boarder led the way for Maine with six shots on goal.
Maine was 2-for-2 on the penalty kill and 0-for-1 on the power play.

The two teams face off again on Saturday, at 2 PM at LaBahn Arena.
