Orono, Maine – The University of Maine football team ran their winning streak to four-straight games as they downed Elon on Homecoming in Orono, 35-14.

Elon got on the board first in the opening quarter as they scored on a 17-yard rush.

Maine bounced back with the next two scores, starting with a 14-yard touchdown reception from
Jake Kucera, his first collegiate touchdown.

One drive later,
Carter Peevy connected with Gianni Rossito for his first collegiate touchdown, a 24-yard toe drag in the end zone to send the Black Bears into the break up 14-7.

Chris Bacon had 1 and ½ sacks in the first half while
Kye Pressley had a sack and
Christian Thomas had ½ a sack.

Peevy threw for 180 yards and two scores in the opening half.

Maine came out and scored first in the second half as Peevy capped off a drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown, his fifth of the season.

Scott Woods made a big splash on special teams as he scored the first punt return touchdown of the season for the Black Bears, returning it 85 yards after covering more than 100 yards on the field as he started on the near sideline before switching sides of the field.

Elon concluded their scoring on the afternoon with a 15-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

Maine wrapped up the scoring overall as
Rashawn Marshall made it back-to-back games of 140+ rushing yards as he ended his day with a 61-yard touchdown run, the longest of his career. The score was his second of the season.

Peevy ended 260 yards through the air while Marshall had 141 yards on the ground.

- Rossito and Kucera both recorded their first collegiate touchdowns on the day.
- 10 different receivers recorded a reception on the day.
- Woods punt return touchdown was the first since 2017 for the Black Bears.
- Peevy recorded his third game of three or more touchdown's generated in his last four outings with two passing and one rushing.
- The four-game winning streak is the longest for the Black Bears since the 2019 season.
