Orono, ME - The University of Maine track and field programs travel to Boston to take on the Terrier Classic. The women will compete on Friday Jan 31 and the men will compete on Saturday Feb 1.
The Black Bears are coming off competing in the River Hawk Invite hosted by UMass Lowell on Friday Jan 24 and Saturday Jan 25.
Athletes to watch:
Charlie Collins - Collins is coming off a 1st place finish in the 1000m event back on Jan 17 at the Black Bear Invite. He finished with a time of 2:28.61.
Ned Farrington - Farrington is coming off a 2nd place finish in the 1000m event back on Jan 17 at the Black Bear Invite. He finished with a time of 2:30.38.
Eamon Sweeney - Sweeney is coming off of a 2nd place finish in the 60h event this past weekend at the River Hawk Invite. He finished with a time of 8.14.
Conner Michaud - Michaud is coming off of a top finish for Maine in the 200m event and a 2nd place finish in the 4x400 event this past weekend at the River Hawk Invite.
Cheyenne Figueroa - Figueroa is coming off of 2nd place finish this past weekend in the weight throw event at the River Hawk Invite. She finished with distance of 18.74m (61' 5.75").
Marlee Yoder - Yoder is coming off of 6th place finish in the 1000m and a 2nd place finish in the 4x400 events back on Jan 17 at the Black Bear Invite.
Kelcie Horst - Horst is coming off of a 2nd place finish last weekend at the River Hawk Invite. She finished with a time of 25.52.
Sonya Rybalko - Rybalko is coming off of two first place finishes at the Black Bear Invite. In the triple jump she finished with a distance of 11.34m (37' 2.5") and in the long jump finished with a distance of 5.62m (18' 5.25"). Rybalko was also named America East Female Field Athlete of the Week after that performance.

Due to capacity constraints, athlete wristbands will only work on the day of competition – not on the alternate gender day of competition. Athletes wanting to watch the alternate day must purchase tickets.

Parking:Â Parking around the Boston University Track and Tennis Center is very limited. Limited parking is available for cars and vans in metered spaces on local streets for a maximum of four hours (follow City of Boston parking signs). Limited all-day parking for cars and vans (8'2" clearance) is available in Langsam Garage located at 142 Gardner Street, Boston, MA 02215 for $12 on meet days. Overflow parking may be available in other University lots. Please reference posted and distributed Parking Advisories for the most up to date parking information. For those wishing to take the subway ("the T"), the cost is $2.40 each way. Use the Green Line/Babcock Street stop, and thetrack is a short 2-3min walk. DO NOT parking in the Star Market parking lot across from the track or you may be towed.
