WORCESTER, Mass. –
Jordane Pinette scored the game-winning goal less than 90 seconds into the contest as the University of Maine women's soccer team earned a 1-0 win at Holy Cross on Sunday afternoon.

Kristina Kelly won possession in the midfield and sent a through-ball down the left flank.
Lara Kirkby ran onto it and one-touched a ball back across the goal for a Pinette finish.

Holy Cross searched for an equalizer over the remaining 88 minutes of play but
Grace Wilson made five saves and the Maine defense lured Holy Cross into five offsides to preserve the non-conference win.

- Holy Cross had the 17-7 lead in shots and a 5-2 edge in shots on goal.
- The Black Bears had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
- Goalkeeper Grace Wilson made their first career start, finishing with five saves for the shutout.
