ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's basketball team has announced its America East conference schedule for the 2024-25 season. The schedule features eight home conference games, highlighted by the America East Championship rematch with Vermont on Feb. 1.

Maine opens the league slate on Jan. 2 with a trip to UMass Lowell before hosting Bryant in the conference home opener for the Black Bears on Jan. 4.

A two-game New York road trip follows with stops at Binghamton (Jan. 9) and UAlbany (Jan. 11).

Maine then returns to Orono for a three-game homestand, starting with a Jan. 16 showdown with NJIT. The Black Bears host UMBC on Jan. 18 before closing out the three-game set by hosting UMass Lowell on Jan. 23.

The Black Bears head to New Hampshire for the Border Battle, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, on Jan. 23.

Maine kicks off February by hosting Vermont on the first of the month in a rematch of the 2024 America East title game.

A three-game road swing follows with a Feb. 6 trip to NJIT before continuing on the road to meet UMBC on Feb. 8. Maine's bye falls on Feb. 13 before another affair at Vermont on Feb. 15.

Maine welcomes the New York teams to Orono to begin another three-game homestand, starting with hosting UAlbany on Feb. 20 before taking on Binghamton on Feb. 22. The Black Bears play host to New Hampshire on Feb. 27.

The America East regular season wraps up on March 1 when Maine hits the road to meet Bryant.
The Black Bears welcome back four of their five starters from last year's America East championship team which finished the season 24-10, 14-2 in league play, while earning their 10th trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Adrianna Smith, the 2022-23 America East Player of the Year and two-time America East first team selection, returns to lead the Black Bears a year after averaging 16.4 points and 10.8 rebounds. Rounding out the returning starters will be
Caroline Bornemann (7.3 ppg / 5.5 rpg),
Olivia Rockwood (6.3 / 1.8), and
Sarah Talon (6.4 / 2.2).
