ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine Women's Cross Country program fell in the opening meet of the 2024 season to Army West Point. The Black Bears lost the meet by a final tally of 40-19.

Senior Marlee Yoder had the top finish for Maine with a four-place time of 18:42.4. Ryan O'Connor finished 5^th overall with a time of 18.47.9 while Kahryn Cullenberg finished 3^rd for Maine and 9^th overall with a time of 18:58.6.

Maine returns to action Saturday when they travel to Burlington, VT to compete in the University of Vermont Invitational.
