Orono, ME - The University of Maine baseball team defeated UAlbany on Friday afternoon.
First Pitch: 1:05 P.M. (7-5 Black Bears)
First Inning:
Jake Marquez got the Black Bears on the board as he hit an infield single to score
Jeremiah Jenkins (2B).
Third Inning: UAlbany tied the game up at 1-1 as they hit a solo home run to right field.
Maine jumped back in front as
Nick White brought home two runs on a single to right field, scoring Jenkins (BB) and
Connor Goodman (2B).
Fourth Inning: UAlbany made it 3-2 as they hit an RBI single in the top of the fourth.
Sixth Inning: Maine scored two runs in the frame.

Seventh Inning:
Gianni Gambardella began the seventh on the mound for Maine following an hour and 20 minute rain delay.
Lavigueur turned in a quality start as he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in his 6 innings of work.
Eighth Inning: UAlbany scored one unearned run in the frame.
Ninth Inning: UAlbany plated one run.
Gianni Gambardella allowed 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits, 3 walks and 1 strikeout in a three-inning save, his first save of the season.
Lavigueur (4-3) picked up his fourth win of the season on the mound.
Maine (12-36, 8-14) returns to Mahaney Diamond on Saturday, May 18 at Noon for the final game of the regular season against UAlbany. The winner of the game claims the final America East Playoff spot.
